Questions & answers

Basement waterproofing FAQs

How much does basement waterproofing cost?

It depends on the source and how much of the perimeter needs drainage — a single seeping wall costs far less than a full interior system with a sump and backup pump. Costs range widely, so the inspection is free and the written estimate is itemized and fixed before work starts, with financing available.

Interior or exterior waterproofing — which do I need?

For most homes, an interior drainage system with a sump pump is the more reliable and less disruptive fix, and it's what we usually recommend. Exterior excavation makes sense in specific cases. The free inspection tells you honestly which your home actually needs — not just the pricier option.

Will this stop the musty smell and dampness too?

Yes. Standing water and damp walls are what feed that smell. Once the drainage, sump, and wall vapor barrier are managing the water, the basement dries out. For persistent humidity we can add a dedicated dehumidifier to the plan.

Is the dry basement guaranteed?

Yes — our interior waterproofing system carries a lifetime transferable warranty that stays with the home when you sell. We stand behind keeping the water managed, not just installed and gone.
